Flight tracker built in: When you book an airport pickup, our system automatically monitors your flight and adjusts your driver’s pickup time if your flight arrives early or late. While our flight tracker catches most changes, we always recommend contacting dispatch directly if you become aware of a significant delay — some airlines, particularly smaller carriers, don’t always publish updates in time for automated systems to catch them. The more notice we have, the better we can make sure your driver is there when you need them. You can also set a custom delay between your arrival time and when you want your driver at the pickup area, to give yourself time to collect bags and make your way to the designated taxi/rideshare zone. The default buffer is 30 minutes but you can adjust it to whatever works for you.
Please note: Flight tracking updates that occur within one hour of your scheduled pickup may not be applied, as your driver will already be en route. If your flight status changes significantly within that window, contact dispatch directly so we can do our best to accommodate.
Why airport reservations matter at AVL: Unlike major hub airports where rideshare drivers cycle through constantly, Asheville Regional Airport is a smaller regional airport — there is no queue of drivers waiting on standby.
